Wisconsin's population is estimated at about 6 million and consists of 81% white, 7% Latino, 7% African-American, 3% Asian, and 1% Native American. Wisconsin has voted for a democratic president every year since 1988 except 2016, when Trump won by less than 1 percentage point. 70.5% of Wisconsin voted in the 2016 presidential election compared to 61.4% nationwide.
